J-Fashion Fair☆

Hello everyone!

It's been a while since I last updated and I have a good reason for that! After J-Fashion Fair I was so busy with my cosplay for Tracon X (I only finished Soma after all, since our Kekkai Sensen group got cancelled) and after the convention, I've been really lazy.... But now I'm back with a post of J-Fashion Fair! So let's start!

So as I previously informed you, I was chosen to model at the J-Fashion Fairs fashion show, and as you know I was pretty damn excited. And the event was exactly as I expected: small, but fun and well organized! There was a few sellers selling second hand clothes and I was really sad that the only thing I found was a pair of rocking horse shoes.. Don't get me wrong, I was crazy happy about the shoes (even though the other sole fell off after a few uses...) but I really hoped to find some nice clothes, but everything was either not my style, or too small. (ﾟ´Д｀ﾟ)ﾟ Damn my wide hips...

The fashion show was so much fun too! All my fellow models were so sweet and nice to chat with, even though all of them seemed to know each other beforehand except me... At first I was a bit sad about that, but I just built up my courage and started chatting with one of my fellow models after the practice and in the end I had no trouble chatting with all of them! The fashion show went really well too! The recording of it still hasn't been uploaded online, so I haven't actually seen what it looked like to viewers but at least I think it went well! 

My friend Perunaprinssi was there too and she was so kind to take some pictures of me and the fashion show! So that's about all I have to say about the event, so let's just skip to the pictures!

I definitely hope that J-Fashion Fair will be arranged again next year and that I could model again. It was so much fun and events like this really bring the community together more! But that's all for now! I'll return soon with a post of Tracon X, so see you then☆

Runway Modeling at J-Fashion Fair!☆

Yup, the title tells it!

J-Fashion Fair is a brand new fair and flee-market event dedicated to all kinds of Japanese street fashion (30.8 at Gloria Helsinki) and when I found out about it, I was so excited! Before this there's only been similar Lolita events here in Finland but nothing to other fashions, and because of that Finland's J-street fashion scene is quite disjointed (apart from a few Gyaru circles). So I've really been looking forward to at least something for other fashions, and to unite other people who love other styles besides Lolita and Gyaru. Needless to say I'm super excited!

And when I saw that they were looking for representatives of different styles for the fashion show, I knew I had to take the chance! And it really was worth taking it!

So this is the outfit I submitted to the show! My style of choice is Aomoji-kei and even though I don't knowingly follow the style, I take the most inspiration from it because of how fun and free the style is! For those who don't know, the basic idea of Aomoji-kei is "dress how YOU want and only for yourself" so naturally it has no so called "rules" like most fashion styles have. But some distinctive things I have noticed in Aomoji-kei, is funky and eye catching platform shoes, mesh over knee socks or funky patterned socks, and loose shirts and jackets worn with them! I really love this style and I'm so glad I get to represent it in front of viewers!

I'm really excited about the fashion show and I can't wait what the other models are wearing and what styles they represent! J-fashion is so important to me and a big part of my life, and I just can't wait to express it! Aaaa I just wish it was the 30th already. (´∀｀)
