Product Review: ETUDE HOUSE Baby Choux Base in Mint Choux☆

Hello everyone!

Today I'm here with a review of one of my current favorite makeup products, and without further babbling: Let's get down to business! (oh and since I've used this a lot, the packaging is quite dirty-- apologies for that)

So the product in question is ETUDE HOUSE's Baby Choux Base makeup in Mint Choux and it's designed to be used under your BB-cream/foundation to cancel out any redness you have going on on your face. It also has brightening properties (=makes you look very pale) which is okay with me, since I'm dead pale to begin with-- But I doubt it would work on darker skin colors unfortunately.(Though darker skinned people rarely have problems with redness, but me being white as a sheet, I do have those. A lot--) Now that my skin is better the redness is not so bad, but the redness on my cheeks, nose and chin does annoy me, so this product was my savior! The texture of it is very creamy, but it doesn't feel very moisturising. On dry skin it might not feel so comfortable and blend so easily, but other skin types should have no problem! Especially since the product doesn't feel oily or anything, it will most likely work well even with oily skin. The product is also very matte even straight out of the bottle, and it also leaves your skin very matte!

One thing that might share opinions, is the scent of the product, since it is very strongly scented. It pretty much smells like a perfume, and I happen to love it! But I know many people don't like strongly scented makeup products, and it might irritate sensitive skin. So if you don't like/get skin irritations from strongly scented makeup, I wouldn't recommend this to you. Many Korean makeup products actually have a very strong, lovely scent, but this takes the cake of all the products I've tried!

But on to the demonstration!

As you can see the coverage of the product is quite light, but it really does the work for me! Lately I've actually been using only this and some concealer as my base makeup and I almost like the look of it better than with BB-cream on top. Unlike foundation makeups, this doesn't leave any dry or cakey looking spots on your face but instead leaves your skin looking incredibly natural! And I really like my skin to look as natural as possible, but that's just my opinion. So even though this is sort of a face primer, it works really well as a foundation makeup too at least for me. But if you prefer a stronger coverage, just use your foundation makeup on top! I've only used BB-cream with this, so I don't really know how the product acts with other type of foundations. But since this leaves my skin looking and feeling like I have nothing on, I doubt it will have any problems with any kind of foundation makeups. So now onto my conclusion about this product:

T E X T U R E: Creamy, matte, blends easily on healthy skin, might be cakey on dry skin
★★★★☆
C O V E R A G E: light, but enough if you like natural looking skin

DollyEye Starry Eye Gray lens Review + Soma Cruz Cosplay Makeup Test☆

Hello!

Today I'm here with my very first circle lens-review! Me and a group of friends did a group order from Blingblingeyes.com.my, since they have definitely the cheapest lenses available. But to be honest I wouldn't recommend the site because of stories I've heard from my friends about getting damaged lenses etc.. Cheap doesn't always mean good, but if you're low on money and are planning to do a group order, blingblingeyes might be a good site! At least my lenses are very good quality and perfectly fine, and most of my friends' lenses from there are too. But yeah, on to the review!

Diameter: 14.8mm
Water Content: 38%
Life Span: 1 year

What I was looking for: "Icy" looking gray lenses for my Soma Cruz cosplay, that would blend in well with my natural eye while still looking gray, have a faint outside ring and a diameter of 14.5/14.8. And the reason I'm writing this section is that every time I need circle lens for something, my preferences change. So in these kind of reviews I will judge how well the lenses fit my criteria and the specific look I want.

I was really surprised how well the lenses blend in my eyes! My natural eye color is a sort of grayish blue-green, so usually blue, green and gray lenses look the most natural on me, but still I was positively surprised! And thanks to my natural eye the color is pretty good too. It looks gray in any light even though the lenses aren't very opaque, so I doubt the color would be as vibrant on darker eyes. And overall I'm pretty pleased in how they look! I do wish the outside ring would be a tad darker, but I still do like these lenses a lot and I think they fit my cosplay well. I can't say much about comfort since I haven't had them on for a long period of time, but they do feel unexpectedly comfortable on my eyes! My eyes tend to go dry very fast normally, but I can hardly feel these in!

And now on to the next topic of this post, and that is my cosplay makeup test for Soma! I love doing makeup tests for my cosplays and I'm quite happy with this one.

I really want to do a makeup tutorial for this look and I'm sure I will do one soon~ I really love doing cosplay makeups and trying to achieve a certain eye shape and look, while still doing something that fits my face and natural eye shape. And this is something you really get better at the more you practice! (though isn't every possible artistic thing like that) Oh yeah, and my wig is from ebay! It's actually a character wig for a Touken Ranbu character, whose name I can't remember, but it's perfect for Soma too after a bit of styling!

Thank you for reading and I hoped you enjoyed this post and found the review helpful! See you soon!☆

Runway Modeling at J-Fashion Fair!☆

Yup, the title tells it!

J-Fashion Fair is a brand new fair and flee-market event dedicated to all kinds of Japanese street fashion (30.8 at Gloria Helsinki) and when I found out about it, I was so excited! Before this there's only been similar Lolita events here in Finland but nothing to other fashions, and because of that Finland's J-street fashion scene is quite disjointed (apart from a few Gyaru circles). So I've really been looking forward to at least something for other fashions, and to unite other people who love other styles besides Lolita and Gyaru. Needless to say I'm super excited!

And when I saw that they were looking for representatives of different styles for the fashion show, I knew I had to take the chance! And it really was worth taking it!

So this is the outfit I submitted to the show! My style of choice is Aomoji-kei and even though I don't knowingly follow the style, I take the most inspiration from it because of how fun and free the style is! For those who don't know, the basic idea of Aomoji-kei is "dress how YOU want and only for yourself" so naturally it has no so called "rules" like most fashion styles have. But some distinctive things I have noticed in Aomoji-kei, is funky and eye catching platform shoes, mesh over knee socks or funky patterned socks, and loose shirts and jackets worn with them! I really love this style and I'm so glad I get to represent it in front of viewers!

I'm really excited about the fashion show and I can't wait what the other models are wearing and what styles they represent! J-fashion is so important to me and a big part of my life, and I just can't wait to express it! Aaaa I just wish it was the 30th already. (´∀`)

If you're coming to the event, please come and say hi to me if you happen to pass by me! See you again soon!☆

Get to Know the Blogger☆

Hello!
I've been trying to think of something to blog about while I wait for my cosplay stuff to arrive and until I get my cosplay up and going, so I thought of doing a different kind of introduction post! Some of my followers don't know much about me, so I hope this post will give you a better idea of what kind of person is writing this! Oh and thanks to my dear friend for coming up with questions and choosing some from a tumblr question meme☆

1. Would you rather choose a sugar daddy for six months or 10k from the lottery?
What a good way to start this asff-- but if the sugar daddy is, ahem, pleasing to the eye and mind, I'd definitely choose that! Otherwise I'll take the money thanks--

2. Post a picture that depicts you (no selfies etc)

3. How many pillows do you sleep with?
Two!

4. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
I'm a shoe-holic, so I'd have to say maybe 10-15 pairs of shoes--

5. What was your last dream about?
I don't remember much about it, but I remember that I drew a lot Pokemon's in that dream, and watched an anime about Ichi the Killer, except that it was nothing like the real story (it's probably my favorite manga ever)?? Kakihara and Ichi were kids and I was watching it in a movie theater at a random mall. I have weird dreams usually so this was surprisingly normal--

6. Have you ever fired a gun?
Never!

7. Favorite clean word? (English and Finnish)
In English it would have to be 'cock', if I'm being completely honest, and there's nothing dirty behind that! I just like how the word feels in my mouth (oh god this sounds so wrong) and it's so short and concise-- And in Finnish it's 'hauva' which means pooch.

8. Favorite swear word? (English and Finnish)
Helvetti in Finnish (Hell) and fuck in English--

9.  Have you ever had a secret admirer?
Not that I know??

10. Are you a good liar?
I hate to admit it, but yes I am-- Sometimes I'm so good I scare myself tbh.

11. Favorite food?
Sushi definitely! Especially I love california rolls with avocado, and marinated eel sushi,

12. How long does it take for you to get ready?
I would say about 45min to an hour.

13. Do you suck or bite lollipops?
Suck first, then bite!

14. Biggest Fear?
The end of the world, death and unusually large things (megalophobia). Also underwater sculptures creep me out so much and I don't even know why.... Even a picture of one makes me seriously anxious.

15. Do you like your own name?
Yes! I like how short and simple Nea is. And it sounds nice too in my opinion.

16. What is your dream cosplay?
Right now I would have to say Alucard from Castlevavia: Symphony of The Night..

17. What is your dream place for a cosplay photoshoot?
Some place south like Greece or other Mediterranean country. I love how it looks in there! The sea is so turquoise and clear.

18. University or College?
I'd have to choose college (AMK) because I'm not much of  a crammer and college in Finland is much more about doing than reading.

19. Life without makeup (no covering your face) or life without hair (no wigs)?
This is easy: life without makeup. I don't have a problem with my plain face nowadays, so that would only be a problem because I love makeup.

20. New computer or a new camera?
Hmm... I don't have a need for neither, but i'll go with computer, since I'm not much of a photographer.

21. Sacramental wine or wafer?
I quite liked the taste of the wine, so I'll go with it-- Wafer tasted and felt like cardboard.

22. What is a dream date for you?
First a romantic dinner, then horror movies and cuddling.

23. If you were given a brand new pet right now what would you name it?
If it's a boy I'd name it with a 4 letter Finnish boys name, because I love them-- For example, Pasi, Simo, Pete, Riku are such cute names in my opinion!

24. Are you closer to your mom or dad?
Hmm... this is hard because I'm very very close with both of them, but I'd have to go with my dad. Our personalities are so much alike and we like similar kind of things, so I have more in common with him.

25. Do you believe in ghosts?
I do!

26. A paranormal event that has happened to you or someone you know?
This is actually one of my favorite stories and definitely not the only one: My big brother was in Tokyo during the huge earthquake a few years ago, and during the previous night (when we woke up we found out about the earthquake) my dad had a dream where his passed mother came and told him that my big brother is okay and doing well. Of course after that my dad was confused about what it meant, but when we woke up it all made sense! And my brother was completely fine! My dad has had many paranormal happenings in his family and many of his past relatives have been spiritual doctors, so I've heard many stories for him! But that's the only thing I have witnessed myself, so obviously it's my favorite story.

27. A month trip to Japan to get to know your idol so you'll become friends for life, or a trip to Korea for a free beauty surgery?
This is so easy to answer, since I don't have problems with my face; the Japan option obviously. Even without the getting to know my idol, I'd choose it!

28. Would you rather travel to Lapland or Åland?
Lapland! It's so beautiful in there. Åland has nothing in there tbh--

29. Makeup products you couldn't live without?
A nude eyeshadow palette, my ETUDE HOUSE green primer, a concealer, liquid highlighter and my blending brush

30. The best and the worst thing about being Finnish?
Hmm... The best thing probably is the climate. I don't like hot weather or sunshine and we rarely have those in Finland and most Finns hate it! But I love it-- And the worst thing would have to be the Finnish modesty. In here it's really sort of a taboo to give yourself praise and be proud of yourself and what you do. Otherwise I quite like it here.

--

That's all for now! I know these questions are sort of random, but I think random questions really give the best idea about what kind of person someone really is! So see you again soon and I hope you enjoyed this post!☆

Tracon X Cosplay Plans☆

Hello everyone!

Today I'm here with a very short, simple post just to inform you about my cosplay plans for Tracon X in Tampere in september! Tracon is one of the biggest cons here in Finland and one of my personal favorites, since Tampere is an amazing city and the place where the convention is held works really well! So onto my plans:

SATURDAY:
Soma Cruz from Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
I've been very into Castlevania games for about a year now, so how could I not cosplay from it! I haven't played the original Castlevania games on the NES, since games that old are really not my thing (and because the old games are hard as damn) but for now I have played Symphony of The Night, Aria of Sorrow, Dawn of Sorrow, Order of Ecclesia, Portrait of Ruin, and Super Castlevania IV I play every now and then but haven't finished it yet! Also I'm in the midst of playing Harmony of Dissonance too. And from all these games SoTN and the Sorrow-games have been my favorites, and I would have wanted to cosplay Alucard from SoTN, but his design is way too complicated for my current skills... So I decided to go with Soma and his Aria of Sorrow version! It's my second favorite Castlevania game after all, and his design is interesting, but simple enough to execute. I could write on and on about my love for Castlevania games, but I think I'll stop for now-- I can't wait 'till I get my wig and lenses for Soma so I can do a makeup test (I love those)! And I really want to do a cosplay makeup tutorial of Soma too when the time comes. I haven't started the cosplay yet, but I really want to start is as soon as possible, since school starts on wednesday and I have finals this autumn (;﹏;) I'm really not looking forward to that... (actually I'd rather drown myself)

SUNDAY:
Steven A. Starphase from Kekkai Sensen
Even though the Kekkai Sensen anime was far from good, it was extremely entertaining and the characters are just amazing! I really want to read the manga and just ordered a few books of it with a gift card I had☆ So me and two (maybe three) of my friends planned a small Kekkai Sensen group for Tracon! I will cosplay Steven (one of my favorite characters) and my friends will be Klaus, KK and maybe Zapp (I don't know if she's still in), and I'm so looking forward to it! Even though I like cosplaying just by myself, it's always nice and special to cosplay with my friends from the same series! So with Steven my cosplay is pretty much finished! I trifted everything except the tie and the wig, so I still have to downsize the suit, but otherwise that cosplay is done! And I'm glad it is, because like I said, I haven't started Soma yet...

So that's all! See you again soon!☆

Style Inspiration Part #2 Usuke Devil☆

U S U K E  D E V I L / Y U S U K E  H I D A

So a natural switch from my favorite street snap girl is to my favorite street snap BOY! Usuke Devil, actual name Yusuke Hida, is 20 (If I remember right) years old, and has been streetsnapped by Tokyo Fashion and other sites several times in the past few years. These snaps are from 2013, which was the time he was most seen on street snap sites, and I just adore his style! He represents the more "high fashion" side of Harajuku style, since he mostly uses high fashion brands like Hérmes, YSL and Vivienne Westwood. Especially nowadays, since in these older pictures his style was more "extravagant" and edgy. Nowadays his style is much more traditional and subtle, but still amazing! No wonder he is considered to be one of the Harajuku style icons of mens fashion!

These are some more recents pictures of him, so you can see what I mean. I personally prefer his old, edgy style but tbh I love Devil in every form! The thing that first captured my eye in him was just how damn beautiful he is (;▽; ) Do you know the feeling when a man is prettier than most girls? That's the deal with Devil. Of course his style is amazing, but his gorgeous face is just irresistable-- okay now I'm starting to sound like a crazy fan girl, but just look how pretty he is! ;; In the left picture you can also see his twin sister Asami Hida who I adore to bits too! They really are an amazing pair of siblings, because of their gorgeous styles.

Devil used to work at Faline Tokyo, but nowadays if I'm not wrong, he works as a full time model. Like I said in the Rinalee post, I can't read Japanese, and Devil very very rarely writes in english so some of this information might be wrong. I have just been following him for several years now, so I'm telling you the little things I have learned about him throughout the years with my non-existent Japanese langauage skills-- But back to him now: From what I've understood from his instagram and his style book SCREAM UsukeDevil (which I own), Devil loves Korea and it has a special place in his heart. He does trips to Korea a few times a year and presumably loves Korean pop-music, since he sometimes uploads videos of him dancing to Kpop songs in his instagram. He even has a whole chapter in the style book dedicated to his trips to Seoul! His makeup style and hair reminds the Korean men's style nowadays too, as you can see from the newest pictures on his instagram. He looks much softer and sweeter nowadays than in the 2013 pictures, and even though I preferred that style, Devil has a big place in my heart no matter what!

So that's all for now! I apologize if some of the information was wrong and my writing seems really scattered-- It's very hard for me to create sentences today heh. But thanks for reading and see you again soon!☆
